Big Day Out Touring Festival Australia 2012BIG DAY OUT MAKES SOME CHANGES TO AUCKLAND SHOW

For the 20th year organisers have chosen to rebuild the Auckland event from the ground up, with a goal of recapturing the magic of early Big Day Out shows. One main stage, no D barricade, Skating & Skate stage in the main arena, Green stage, Boiler Room, Giant Water Slide, Show ‘N’ Shine and much, much more! Plus it’s now a little cheaper than the East Coast Australian Shows, with booking fees included.

However, the need to reduce from two to one main stage means a couple acts from the first announcement will not be able to perform at the Auckland Big Day Out. Unfortunately Kanye West and Odd Future will not be appearing at the Auckland event and we thank them for their help, support and understanding in this change of plans.

This means for Auckland it will be:

NOEL GALLAGHER’S HIGH FLYING BIRDS, NERO (LIVE), THE VACCINES, BASSNECTAR, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, REGURGITATOR, KIMBRA, PARKWAY DRIVE, MIDNIGHT YOUTH, DAS RACIST, SIX60, MT EDEN, THE ADULTS, I AM GIANT, CAIRO KNIFE FIGHT, JAKOB, BULLETPROOF, JUNICA, @PEACE, DJ SIR-VERE and NICK D

Who will now be joining:

SOUNDGARDEN, KASABIAN, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, THE LIVING END, BATTLES, GIRL TALK, PARKWAY DRIVE, RÖYKSOPP, FOSTER THE PEOPLE, GIN WIGMORE, CAGE THE ELEPHANT, BEST COAST, BEASTWARS, GHOSTWAVE, CUT OFF YOUR HANDS, DAVID DALLAS, UNKNOWN MORTAL ORCHESTRA & MAYAVANYA.

Punters who have already purchased tickets for Perth, Adelaide or Auckland will get a $20 merch voucher and have been given two options if unhappy – they can exchange their tickets for a ticket in any other city or get a refund until 30th November.
