Groovin The Moo Festival 2012, AustraliaGROOVIN THE MOO LINE UP CHANGE!

Chiddy Bang have cancelled their Groovin’ the Moo show, apparently they’d prefer to “focus on new TV and radio promotional opportunities for their upcoming album in the USA” rather than playing at the festival.

Their place on the lineup has been quickly taken by J Award Unearthed Artist of the Year winners Ball Park Music who will bring their set of sunny indie-pop including Hottest 100 tunes It’s Nice to Be Alive and All I Want is You to the tour.

Announcing the lineup changes, festival promoter Stephen Halpin explained that “To replace an act on the festival at this late stage is very difficult, so we are extremely grateful to have an act of the calibre of Ball Park Music join the tour at such short notice. Yes it’s annoying that Chiddy Bang have chosen to cancel but Ball Park Music are a fantastic live act and deserve all their current success.”

Foreshore Festival, Australian Capital TerritoryFORESHORE 2011 HAS SOLD OUT

For the 5th straight year Kicks Entertainment is proud to announce that Foreshore Festival has sold out for 2011!

2011 has seen the Foreshore site expand, and welcome new additions such as The Vinnies Beauty Bar, Side Show Alley, The Tiki Terrace and more – Rain, hail or shine, Foreshore 2011 kicks off at 12pm tomorrow.

The first ever Foreshore in 2007 saw some of the highest rainfall ever recorded on that date. In a true showing of spirit the crowd and artists embraced the downfall in a way that only Canberra could, making the day one of the most infamous shows in Canberra history.

In 2011 we are a bit more prepared with 3 of our 4 stages under cover. Please come prepared to ensure you have the best day possible!  Bring appropriate clothing to suit the weather such as ponchos, gumboots and warm clothes. Please do not bring umbrellas.

Mission To Launch Festival CanberraHOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM!

Organisers of Canberra’s Mission To Launch Festival regretfully announce that the festival has suspended ticket sales and is officially cancelled.

The decision has been a very difficult one for organisers who, as Canberra locals themselves, envisaged bringing a world-class party to the nation’s capital for New Year’s Eve.

Unfortunately, the current economic climate has seen music festivals across the country suffer with drops in numbers of attendees and poor ticket sales on a large scale.  Mission To Launch has unfortunately suffered the same fate.

The festival was a bold and unique business venture designed for Canberra – an idea initiated by local businessmen and activated 18 months ago when the event market was more resilient.

Ticket holders are entitled to a full refund from the point of purchase.  Contact your ticketing agency for more details.

e-tainmentnews Australia festivals blogHere at e-tainment news Australia we are always looking for talented festival fans to contribute articles and photos about their festival experience.  With over 150 festivals taking place in Australia and New Zealand every year from the big touring festivals like Big Day Out, Summadayze and Soundwave to smaller folk and blues festivals catering for 500 music fans there is a lot of choice and we are keen to document them all…

If this is something of interest then get in contact with us and tell us about your best / worst festival experience and what festivals you are planning to go to this year.

We are working on a full website and hope to launch this early next year so all of your pictures and reviews will be shown in all their glory!
